 Character of Kindness

Jude 1:1-25

Introduction

The book of Jude is in the New Testament. This book is a letter that is hard to ignore. The book of Jude alone has only 25 verses. Because the book of Jude only has 25 verses, many Christians do not know and rarely even read about this book of Jude. This book is written with background, thoughts, facing the challenges of a situation, and foreign quotes for us as readers. Apart from the things above, there are three lessons that we can take in the book of Judas, namely about the character of goodness such as good people build their lives on the basis of faith, good people are people who pray, and good people always keep themselves in love. It is these lessons that I will discuss in this essay one by one.

Content

The good man builds his life on the foundation of the holiest faith found in Jude 1:20-21. The life of Christians is based not on something we create ourselves, but on something we receive. Faith is a statement that comes from Jesus Christ and is preserved in his people. The faith we receive on the basis of our lives is certainly not just a change of mind but a change of our lives. Therefore, our lives must be based on faith.

Good people are people who always pray. This is written in Jude 1:20-21. People who believe in God must be people who are different from others, that is, always precede something with prayer. A man without prayer has no power or can do nothing. The prayer referred to here must be in the Holy Spirit. A good person will always pray, and the prayer he will offer is under humility not tied to his own ego. Only the Holy Spirit can make us pray perfectly.

Good people keep themselves always in love and waiting for God with hope. If we want to remain in fellowship with God then we must give him perfect love and strength and not only that, Good people will wait for Jesus Christ to come in love and power because they know that Christ's purpose for them is to bring them to life. eternal, which is none other than the life of God himself.

POV

In my opinion, the Book of Jude is not worth reading because it is a short Book. I thought that the Book of Jude was unimportant and it turned out that I was wrong. The writing in the book of Judas is indeed very simple compared to other books, but if we study it properly and more clearly we will find warnings about life at the end of time and can be a provision for us to keep on doing good things. Let us not take lightly the writings in the Bible, even though they are very short.

Conclusion

The book of Jude is largely ignored or rarely read by most Christians. But in this book the author reminds us of the End times. What I get in the book of Jude is about the nature of human goodness that must be maintained. By maintaining the goodness we have in these end times, we must always put our lives on the basis of faith, always pray, and even keep ourselves in love is waiting for the hope of the second coming of God. And when the time comes, we will be found faithful in doing good and we will be saved.
