Introduction

God's law was given to all humans in order to get true happiness and peace not to make us lose our freedom, but we will lose our freedom when we don't obey God's commands. God's commandments are so important for us so that we can get happiness. This essay will explain about God's law that we must obey so that we can be happy.

Content

The ten commandments of God are written in the book of Exodus 20:3-17. The first commandment teaches us not to worship other gods, and God wants us to worship only Him. The second law teaches us not to make statues and not to worship the statue but nowadays many people have made statues to be worshiped. The third commandment teaches us not to take God's name in vain. Because God's name is very holy and it is inappropriate for us to pronounce it in vain. The fourth commandment is the Law which speaks of the Sabbath, where we must keep the Sabbath day holy and do not do any work on the Sabbath but we must rest and worship God. The fifth commandment reminds us to respect our parents like our Father and Mother. The sixth commandment reminds us not to commit crimes such as murder. The seventh commandment is the law that binds us all today not to commit adultery or have sex outside of marriage and this law makes us to maintain our relationships outside of marriage. The eighth commandment teaches us not to steal such as plagiarizing and taking the rights of others. The ninth commandment is a law that reminds us not to lie or say things that are not true. The tenth commandment teaches us not to covet what is not ours. Every law that God has given to man is to make man know what to do and what not to do. God's law actually gives us peace not to take freedom from us.

Conclusion

In conclusion, every human being must obey the commands that Allah has given to be happy. The angels obey God's commands. In this day and age, there are many temptations that the devil offers to humans that make humans fall into sin, therefore humans need firm faith in obeying God's law so as not to fall into sin. God's law is an obligation for us humans. We are obliged to pay attention to Allah's law because we have to Fear Allah and keep His commandments so that we can have a happy life.
